Senator Greg Ball wants religious protections

Senator Greg Ball (R-NY), ok, you're hot, but stop bullshitting us about gay marriage and "religious protections". First of all, civil marriages are performed every day to straight people without a priest, imam or Xenu. There are no laws that require, like say, a rabbi to marry a couple who are not Jewish. No priest will marry a couple who are not Catholic. Nobody is forcing them. So what is different about gay people who want a civil marriage?

Gay Couple Still Waiting To Get Married After 61 Years

New York residents Richard Adrian Dorr and John Mace have been together for 61 years but still cannot get married.

In the video, the couple reveal they met at the Juilliard School of Music in 1948 and have been together since 1950. Both are voice teachers who live and work in Manhattan.
“We’re New Yorkers and after 61 years of togetherness, we feel we have a right to be married in New York.”

“They are still obviously so deeply in love after 61 years and yet after all those years of commitment, being there for one another through the ups and downs of life, they are still being denied the one thing they want most – the freedom to marry in New York. It is time to change that. After 61 years together, haven’t they waited long enough?”

Lesbian Couple Gets Unexpected Response



Jaime wrote an letter to a neighbor who had a "YES on PROP 8" sign on their lawn:

You don’t know me but I walk past your house 3-4 days a week on my break from work. Every time, I'm struck by your “Yes on Prop 8” sticker. I'm guessing this may not be your intention, but every time I see your sticker, it feels like someone is standing in my face, yelling "I hate you and I hate your family.” I wanted to let you know what kind of an impact it has.
